Often they say simplicity is the ultimate sophistication and this is true of Winky D’s latest video titled Reply.
Of the three songs that he released concurrently or set or rather trilogy as he puts it, the best track obviously got to be Reply and that would not be without a reason.
David and Goliath is a whacky song and it puts Winky D on the spotlight for wrong reasons one of them being his patois accent which critics have queried a long time ago secondly, Ragga Musambo, you really have to be a fan otherwise its lukewarm.
So the only option was to release Reply video and which makes a lot of sense. By any measure, it’s a beautiful video and song.
Love touches all of us in more ways than one and Winky D is no exception.
And in the video which is beautifully done and well thought out he shows how people are looking or finding love on social media.
In this case, he admires a woman on Instagram and what does he do. He slides into her DM so they can meet up.
The rest is a Cinderella story where boy meets girl and he asks her out. Directed by Magna Shoca, a pretty new name on the scene, the video is a joy to watch.
There are some video directors who want to unnecessarily complicate things which in this case Magna did not do.
From start to finish the story is engaging and you feel you want to play it over and over again.
Winky D dressed like an Indian groom looks decked out while the video vixen oozes confidence. There are not many people in this video so the vixen provides for some eye catching visual like the scene in the bath tub as well as during her work out.
