Usually during lockdown period there is ample time to get cozy with your partner and enjoy some TLC, YES! Some tender, love and care moments.
This is perhaps what Vimbai Zimuto is trying to show in her latest video — Handigone — starring South Africa-based Zimbabwean screen actor Leroy Gopal.
In the video, Vimbai does what she knows best and that’s stripping to bear minimum and flaunting her well-toned body in a black sexy lingerie.
And also Gopal who plays the hunk in the video shows off his abs in white designer boxer.
Such is the perfect setting for two people who are madly in love and Vimbai’s sexiness is written all over her face. She gives her partner assurance that she is vulnerable and she can’t live without him. The scenes are so intense and she assures the man that they are stuck to each other during lockdown and likes it slow because there is no rush.
That said, while the visuals by Andy Cutta are well taken, the music is what makes this video worthwhile.
I bet this is Vimbai’s first attempt yet at international level. The background mbira on the slow track gives that extra oomph to the visuals.
It is really a nice song and after a couple of replays and rewinds it became clearer and clearer that Vimbai has set her best foot forward.
She vows to continue dropping singles in the build up to the album launch.
The “Kupakichwa” hitmaker said she hooked up with Gopal at last year’s National Arts Merit Awards (NAMA) and fell in love with his work. “I was watching the NAMA show at home as I couldn’t attend. I was captured by Gopal’s dance routines, charisma and surprisingly he mentioned my name at the show when he was talking about dressing for the event. He jokingly said, ‘Let us leave the nudity to Vimbai Zimuto.’ I laughed. I then said this was the right guy for my next video and I immediately contacted him. Days later, we met for the first time at the airport and had proper communications.”
