On Saturday you could have been anywhere in the world but those that turned up at Old Hararians Sports Club they had a whale of a time!

The Castle Lager National Braai Day turned Harare in all shades — red, yellow, pink, white, black, brown and blue you name it, it was all there.

And the huge turnout was testimony to the magnitude of the event sponsored by Delta Corporation through Castle Lager Brand.

Some estimated the number to 10000, others said it was 15000 and many said it was close to 20000 people who passed through the gates.

Only US$10 could get you in, added to this a free beer and a braai pack.

But the one good there was heavy security presence in and around the venue.

Running under the tagline The Beer Within Our Braai it was like Christmas come early as there was plenty to eat and enjoy.

It fi t wasn’t the braai then it must have been the beer or the music and perhaps the vibe going on.

The merry mood and of course the good cheer was everywhere to seek in the packed arena where music lovers showcased the best in fashion, style and new trends.

And when it comes to having fun, Zimbabweans go all out.

Highlights included live performances by Dhadza D who also roped in BaShupi, Winky D, Tamy Moyo, Enzo Ishall, Chillspot Family featuring the trio of DJ Fantan, Levels and Ribhe on the turntables.

However, there was a bit of an overdose from the DJs Naida and Rush who normally plays at Eclipse bar.

Energy was high on and off the stage so much by the time Winky D closed the show everyone had had quality entertainment.

Yes, there have been many shows so far this year and many more in the offing but the Castle Lager National Braai Day left lasting impressions!
