Something powerful is stirring in Zimbabwe’s music scene.
The drums are warming, the microphones are waiting, and the spotlight is getting ready to shine on a night like no other.
Come November 8, the Harare International Convention Centre (HICC) will transform into a palace of sound for Nubian Notes – A Celebration of Women in Music. Think bold voices, fierce energy, and pure feminine magic.
Organised by Gateway Stream Media (a subsidiary of the Rainbow Tourism Group) in collaboration with ZAR Events, Nubian Notes is not just another concert — it’s a cultural statement wrapped in rhythm, power, and sisterhood.
The theme says it all: “Mambokadzi – The Rise of Her Sound.”
Prepare for powerhouse performances from Feli Nandi, Gemma Griffiths, Tamy Moyo, Shashl, and Nisha Ts — five women who’ve redefined what it means to own the stage.

Each brings her own style, soul, and story to a night that’s all about celebrating women and the music that moves us.
“Preparations are on track and the energy is electric,” says Elton Kurima, Gateway Stream Media Manager. “Fans are excited, tickets are selling fast, and it’s clear people are ready for something special.”
Kurima adds that this is more than entertainment — it’s empowerment.

“We’re giving these amazing women the stage they deserve. This is about artistry, creativity, and community. Yes, it’s an all-female lineup — but this concert is for everyone. It’s a celebration of sound, strength, and togetherness.”
ZAR Events’ very own Connie Mazani couldn’t hide her excitement either.

“Get ready for an unforgettable night,” she said. “Expect electrifying performances, captivating DJs, and a vibe you won’t forget. We’re creating an atmosphere where everyone can let loose, dance, and feel alive.”
And it doesn’t stop there — Becky K (Capitalk) and KVG (Star FM) will keep the energy flowing as event hosts, while DJ Yahya Goodvibes spins the decks to perfection.
The stars themselves are bringing their A-game — and their hearts.
Shashl gets real about what this moment means:
“Women are leading the creative revolution. We’re no longer on the sidelines — we’re shaping culture. My set will be about energy, emotion, and elegance — a soulful journey that celebrates womanhood and unity.”
Gemma Griffiths calls it a long-overdue celebration:
“It’s about time we had something like this. I want people to leave inspired — to feel part of something bold, honest, and magical. My set will tell my story: love, life, and growth, all through that raw Zimbabwean energy.”
Then there’s Tamy Moyo, teasing surprises:
“Let’s just say there are moments even the stage won’t see coming,” she laughs. “It’s going to blur the line between story and soul — you’ll have to be there to feel it.”
And Feli Nandi, ever the powerhouse, sums it up perfectly:
“This is more than a show — it’s a statement. Women belong at the front. Expect fireworks — and maybe a few surprise guests too!”
