A Zimbabwean prophet who predicted the death of Dr Ezekiel Guti, the founder of ZAOGA FIF claims the church he built over the years is on the verge of collapse.

The revered Arch Bishop died on Wednesday 5 July 2023 two months after his 100th birthday celebrations after 30 days of prayer.

Passion Java, though controversial, is believed to have foretold the death of the centenarian in a birthday message to Dr Guti on 5 May 2023.

Passion Java acknowledged the good works of Arch Bishop Guti on his Facebook page saying the famed preacher was going to die.

“Baba Guti is about to die. This is not a skit but a Prophetic word from God unto Baba Arch Ezekiel Guti.

“Our death is not the end if we can live on in our children and the younger generation. For they are us and we are them. Our bodies are only but wilted leaves on the tree of life, and the distinction between past, present and future is death,” he wrote.

“While the whole world was celebrating your birthday, Baba, as I was ministering to the Lord in prayers and fastings, while in Dubai.

“I saw Celestial Beings celebrating your coming hoke, and I saw one who was holding a trumpet and a golden bowel saying; ‘It is time, and the time is now.’”

Passion Java through his verified account warned of the imminent split of the church.

“You have fought a good fight, you have kept the faith. Put thine house in Order because at your departure, ZAOGA will be divided into two,” he said.

While Passion Java sees it as a prophecy observers say Dr Guti’s ill-heath had ceased to be a matter for speculation.

And other observers said regarding the split of the church there had been fissures simmering within the church between warring factions even before the death of Arch Bishop Guti.

However, the power struggles didn’t play out in the open as would be the case with other church organizations due to high respect for Arch Bishop Guti.

In a statement, ZAOGA executive has since declared 30 days of mourning with burial tentatively set for 5 August 2023.

All seminars, provincial council meetings, conferences, district council meetings, tournaments and such other activities have been suspended save for gatherings where people will be meeting for prayer such as the Tuesday Ladies prayer meetings.
