The Civil Registry Department has unveiled major changes to its Temporary Travel Documents (TTDs), aimed at easing travel for citizens in urgent situations.
Starting November 14, 2024, TTDs will now come with a one-month validity period and will be restricted to single-entry travel to a specified destination.
This adjustment is designed to assist individuals who encounter unexpected travel needs but lack the time or resources to secure a standard passport.
TTDs act as an interim solution, allowing travelers to meet their immediate needs while awaiting passport processing.
