By Jonathan Mbiriyamveka

Organisers of Victoria Fall Carnival slated for April 29 to 1 May have announced Nutty O, King HER and Gemma Griffiths as some of the headliners at the 2022 edition.

Nutty O, real name Carrington Chiwadzwa, has come up in a big way hitting all the right chords on his debut simply titled Mustard Seed,

Like a condiment made from mustard seeds, the album has plenty to like, and enjoy!

On the album are sure fire hits and thumping bass. Rest assured, you won’t move an inch while you listen!

There are no random collaborations, But Nutty O chose some of the amazing voices that not only brought out the best in him, but also added new flavours.

Ranging from Jamaican Demarco and Ghanaian Stonebwoy to Zimbabweans ExQ aka Mr Putiti and Kae Chaps, the album is a solid project that fans will play from start to finish without skipping a track.

The instrumentation complements Nutty O perfectly as he lays down hooks with his signature patois.

No doubt, when Nutty O was putting the album together, he was aiming at going global.

You cannot pigeonhole his music: This album is as diverse as the messages.

And what is his message?

He displays depth in most of the songs with messages of hope, love and social commentary where necessary and is an enjoyable listen.

Evidently, Nutty O is a sucker for love. He sounds great when he sings love songs as heard on Kokorigo, a club banger.

And Gemma has been growing her fan base churning out some of the amazing hit and collaborations including Maita Basa Baba, One Call Away featuring Ishan, Titungamirirei as well as the hit MuGarden alongside Winky D.

Another must see is King HER, a DJ who has earned a name for herself on the local club scene.

King HER has a reputation of wowing the crowds and her inclusion on the bill will surely spice up the line up in more ways than one.
