DStv’s BET channel launches a sizzling new show in April, bringing to viewers an unscripted daily drama called Queendom that is already creating a social media frenzy.

The show will launch on Monday April 22 and will thereafter broadcast Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm, repeated at 9.30pm.

Charity Njanji, head corporate affairs and public relations for MultiChoice Zimbabwe, has said the show will provide viewers with an exciting new series in which two worlds collide, weaving together the contrasting landscapes of the mountainous Khahlamba Kingdom and the vibrant South African township of Tsakane.

“We know that the star, Linda Mtoba, will play fearless protagonist Ntandokayise Mthobeni, a strong character who spearheads a storyline showing real-life challenges faced by everyday South Africans, offering a poignant reflection on the country’s history and roots,” she said.

“Audiences across Africa are already showing excitement about her and the rest of the strong cast who will drive the sensational stories of Queendom. The challenges faced by monarchies in Africa will be a key feature of the storyline.”

In addition to the two screenings each weekday night, Queendom will also be featured in a weekend omnibus edition at 4.30pm on Sundays and as well as being broadcast on BET, it will also be available on DStv Catch Up and DStv Stream.
