Mobile giant — NetOne — has revamped USD bundles across all packages to bring more value to its customers.
This means NetOne subscribers will be able to stay connected for longer periods at affordable rates.
Speaking at a Dealer Engagement Session Thursday in Harare, NetOne Chief Operating Officer Isiah Nyangari said he was excited with the relaxation of Covid-19 restrictions and the introduction of multicurrency.
“Our customers were calling for the USD bundles given that the local currency is depreciating but we have said to the customers. You can’t buy two planes and have no runway. So we had to build the runaway first. We finally completed our systems upgrade which was almost like going into labour because the process took up to 12 hours.
“This was meant to improve quality of revenue and also claiming our birth right. We should be number one mobile network. The relaxation of Covid-19 means people are now mobile and can do business,” Nyangari said.
The USD bundle packages range from More Gigs Bundle, Dollar-A-Day (DAD 1 & 5) and the much famed OneFusion.

The packages are USD denominated
They will be distributed via both electronic vouchers which will only be sold in hard USD currency or through the OneMoney FCA Wallet, and physical recharge vouchers.
They will NOT be sold in RTGs at interbank or any other equivalent rate.
The vouchers will be distributed in NetOne sops, OneMoney FCA facility as well as other accredited distributors (TM, OK, Click n Pay, and accredited dealer nationwide)
All data bundles will come with anytime benefits (peak) and off-peak benefits
Peak period 4am and 10pm
Off-peak period- between 10pm and 4am
The US$5 a day bundle will maintain the off-peak hours of 12 midnight to 4amin keeping with the current one DAD.
The USD data bundles will have depletion priority over the RTGs bundles except for social media bundles
Balance enquiry for the USD bundles will be available on *171#
Subscribers can make multiple recharges with the USD vouchers
The notification after recharge will specify how much benefits the subscriber has been credited with as well as the peak and off peak benefits
All the USD bundles shall be made available on the OneMoney platform via the FCA wallet.
Subscribers shall be able to use funds in their FCA Wallet and subscribe to all the USD denominated packages.
