It was the biggest anniversary celebration to date as red carpet awaited guests in Zimbabwe’s two major cities — Harare and Bulawayo — to mark ZB Bank’s 70 years of growth, diversity and innovation.
And what a celebration it turned out to be as guests were wined and dined for the greater part of the evening while lucky customers won instant prizes.
While this was rarely a fashion show, one could not help notice the beautiful and colourful people who were dressed to the nines.
The candle lit dinner was all the more appropriate as it brought that closeness and cozy atmosphere which was needed amid Covid-19 pandemic which allows for people to observe such protocols as social distancing, regular washing of hands and also masking up.
But that did not in any way deterred for the fan loving Zimbabweans including the businesspeople, socialites and also most importantly the ZB Bank customers from dancing the night away.
The gig which was simulcast online for those in Harare and Bulawayo literally shutdown the two cities as it drew some of the crème dela crème on stage the likes of internationally known Mokoomba, Winky D, Shabach the Band and Feli Dembo for the Harare gig and also Sandra Ndebele, The Cool Crooners and Jeys Marabini who serenaded guests in the City of Kings and Queens.
Each performance brought the guests on their feet and it was a celebration punctuated by food, music and drinks on the house.
It was a lovely night and those who attended did not leave empty handed as ZB Bank extended gifts to guests which included tree seedlings and also flowers to plant at home.
Another interesting twist was the photographs taken from the red carpet which were handed over to all those who walked the runaway.
The 70th ZB Bank Anniversary was worthwhile and perhaps will stand as one of the best events so far this year!
