Former Blot’s manager — Kingdollar of Royal Empire Records — who recently discovered a street kid and social media sensation Short Boss is now managing Zimbabwe hip-hop star — Maskiri.

Maskiri had taken a sabbatical to focus on his goat project and his last studio album was Mbinga from Binga.

Since taking over the management of the two artists, Maskiri is set to bounce back to mainstream music scene with a new album while Short Boss who is already making waves will release his debut album.

“Salute to Kingdollar for me back in Studio, on stage and back forever in music.

“Wait and watch my skillful return on the throne in August when I will be releasing my songs and collaborations that I recorded with many ‘big boys’ as I am the hip-hop GOAT.

“As we speak, I have already done with Ass Com Sulu, and I am talking to another Botswana-based Sungura artist and business mogul called Nigel Shoko,” said Maskiri.

Kingdollar confirmed that Maskiri aka Skillaz is now signed with Royal Empire Records.

“Maskiri is now under Kingdollar of Royal Empire Records management with intercontinental managers based in USA, Europe, Australia, Canada, Africa and Dubai, I believe money making must be the goal of everything when you work day and night.

“It is publicly known that Maskiri has never produced and launched an album, so he will be historically changing this game by August as he launches his album.

“I would like to thank my wife at home for accepting this new artist from the street, Short Boss, he was orphaned living in Harare CBD. He is now leaving with my family, he eats and drink what we eat and drink, now has his own bedroom, he baths twice a day. He will be launching his first album, Gumbezerachipezeze on that same day.

“Again, we have a CBD Clean-up campaign that we will embark on soon targeting all drug dealers and abusers. We want Harare to be clean soon and forever,” said Kingdollar.

Newly signee Short Boss said the upcoming album was inspired by his own life.

“Gumbezerachipezeze album is about my personal life. I have always dreamt of owning a blanket because I come from the streets and its cold out there in the streets. Salute Amaiguru backnpa zayan, ndirikuya kuma 5pm mabikeyi nhasi, murikuwomesara dumbu rangu nekugara rakaguta, ukundirwadzisa nekurara pakachena, mvura yakachena, geza inosvuvura mondo yemakore, kusara tub ine mondo,” he chanted.
