Mannex Motsi will be performing this Friday at Theatre in the Park’s Friday concert.

The concert will run from 7pm going down to 10pm.

The Rooftop Promotions and Dollarbill Entertainment organized concert will be coming live on Harare’s heartbeat Capitalk 100.4 FM.

Speaking to Capitalk FM’s DJ Sqkatta on a radio interview, Motsi said he was prepared for the concert and encouraged the public to book their tickets in advance.

Rooftop Promotions’ programs and communications manager Passmore Ndlovu also told the radio station that they were expecting fireworks at this week’s concert.

Mannex Motsi is a Zimbabwean reggae artist who has been performing for almost two decades. He is ex Bootlik Klan of the ‘Tsamba’ fame in 2003 which topped charts for weeks.

He is also ex Transit Crew where he was a lead singer and recorded hits like ‘Rozi’ which also topped charts. He has shared the stage with Sizzla Kalonji and collaborated with Yasus Afari at HIFA.

In 2013, Mannex was approached by Czech Radio 1 producer DJ Krystof Koenigsmark to partner Telka Metelka to make a ZimCzech nine-track album called ‘Optimists by Choice’, which won the Best Album category at the 2014 Czech Republic Best Music Awards.

In 2021, his reggae song ‘Diamond in the Rough’ topped charts on Power FM, Classic 263 and Star FM. He did other songs like; Tengenenge, Hope and all We Know, Misodzi Yegarwe among other hit songs.

The partnership between Rooftop Promotions and Dollarbill Entertainment for these musical shows dates back to 2020 when Covid-19 almost shutdown the cultural and creative industry in Zimbabwe.

The idea was started through livestreaming for Facebook and YouTube platforms. It later evolved into a whole concert with both live and online audience.

Tickets are being sold in advance at only $5 while payment at the gate will be attracting $10.

The contact details for bookings and more about the concert are 0774232478 or 0782217462. However, one can also visit their offices at corner Leopold Takawira and Herbert Chitepo avenues in the Harare Gardens during business hours.
