Promoter gets Kizz Daniel arrested for refusing to perform without his gold chain

A Tanzanian-based Nigerian businessman and music promoter had singer, Kizz Daniel, arrested Monday for his no show.

Apparently, Steven Uwa, the organiser of Summer Amplified Show slated for Sunday in Tanzania claimed the Buga hitmaker failed to perform without his gold chain after some of his luggage went missing.

In an interview with radio personality Daddy Freeze, Mr Uwa said that Kizz Daniel opted out of the show because the airline he flew with did not bring all his baggage.

“He only said the airline didn’t bring his bag; that was why he couldn’t perform because his gold chain was not there,” Uwa explained.

“He had one gold chain on his neck, but he wanted everything. So he said just because the airline didn’t bring one of his bags, he cannot perform without his gold chain.”

Uwa feared that his reputation as a show organiser in Tanzania and Africa had been tainted.

He also revealed that Kizz Daniel was booked for $60,000.

Commenting on the loss, Uwa revealed that he spent nothing less than $300,000 on the show, because it was a premium event.

“A regular table for that show was sold for $5,000, and the highest table was sold for 10,000 dollars,” he said.

Following his arrest Kizz Daniel has since apologized for the no show saying he would perform for free on Friday.

Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday night streamed on the show promoter’s Instagram page, #str8upvibes_, the ‘Buga’ crooner explained his side of the story, apologised and promised a free show for Friday.

He said, “This Friday, a free show by the way, I will be partnering with Straight Up Vibes to make that happen.

“I must apologize to the fans. None of this was intentional.” — Punchng.com/online
