Multiple award-winning gospel singer — Janet Manyowa — launches her fourth album, titled Father’s House, at The Venue in Avondale, Harare this Saturday.
The 10-track album comprises live recording of her successful “Wanqoba Concert” held in Bulawayo.
Also on the title track, Father’s House, Janet sought the talents of dup-poet Albert Nyathi, another award-winning singer.
Other songs that make up the album include Running, Shoko Renyu, Dry Bones, Forever, Jesu Makanaka, Shandurai, Be Blessed Be Your Name featuring Bonnie Deuschle, Bayethe and Tirivakundi.
Her manager who is also her better half Munyaradzi Manyowa, reached out to fans saying all was set for the launch.
“Preparations are well on course for the launch. We are at an advanced stage and are very excited as we finally launch the Father’s House album.
“We have surprise guest musicians who will be revealed on the night of the show,” he said
“The response has been overwhelming, there is so much excitement for the album, particularly the song ‘Dry Bones’. We hope the listeners will love the music on the album.
“We are grateful to everyone who has supported our music over the years.”
“It’s a unique album since it was a live recording done in Bulawayo last year. We collaborated with Albert Nyathi in one of the songs and it was an amazing experience.
“We have also done some visuals for all the songs, which we recorded live.” Munyaraidi said mixing was done by Mark Montgomery in South Africa while Mark Madzinga was the producer.
Besides Father’s House, Janet has three albums to her credit King of Glory, released in 2015, Grateful (2018) and Sounds of Victory in 2020.
Janet has also released three singles between 2020 and 2023 namely Vaudze, Mutsvene and NdiJehovah.
