HARARE  – The Indonesian Embassy in Harare has reaffirmed its strong commitment to deepening economic and trade relations with Zimbabwe, throwing its weight behind the country’s “Open for Business” national vision.

In a major push to turn rhetoric into results, Indonesia will once again participate in the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) 2026 in Bulawayo—continuing its longstanding presence at one of southern Africa’s premier trade exhibitions.

Officials say the move signals not only a dedication to stronger bilateral trade but also growing confidence in Zimbabwe as a reliable African partner.

This year’s engagement features the market entry of PT. Wings Corp Indonesia, marking a strategic expansion of Indonesian private sector presence in Zimbabwe.

Additionally, the Embassy has brokered a strategic partnership between PT. Dami Sariwana and local firm Kumbucha Pvt Ltd, a collaboration set to be showcased at ZITF 2026 as a concrete example of cross-border industrial cooperation and value creation.

Beyond these headline deals, the Embassy has facilitated market exploration for several prominent Indonesian companies, including PT. ABC President Indonesia, Khong Guan Indonesia, PT. Konimex, Blankenheim Indonesia, PT. Duniatex, and PT. Mitra Saruta Indonesia.

Their participation spans food and beverages, pharmaceuticals, and textiles—underscoring the breadth of Indonesia’s industrial capabilities.

Through these initiatives, Jakarta aims to translate Zimbabwe’s “Open for Business” pledge into tangible partnerships in trade, investment, and people-to-people ties.

Indonesia sees Zimbabwe as a potential gateway to regional markets, the Embassy said, and remains committed to walking hand in hand with Harare toward shared economic growth and prosperity.
