Freeman HKD Brings 3rd Edition of HKD Festival to Glamis Arena

By Jonathan Mbiriyamveka

Zim dancehall heavyweight Freeman HKD is set to take over Harare this weekend, bringing the highly anticipated third edition of the HKD Festival to Glamis Arena on Saturday, 24 October 2026.

Doors open at 6pm, promising a night of non-stop music, culture, and high-energy performances.

The event poster, released by the artist’s camp, reveals a massive, star-studded lineup that spans the breadth of Zimbabwe’s contemporary music scene.

A stacked lineup

While Freeman HKD headlines the night alongside his HKD Band, the supporting cast is a testament to his pulling power. The roster features a mix of dancehall heavyweights, Afro-pop stars, and rising talents.

Artists set to grace the stage include Hulengende, Jnr Spragga, Nisha Ts, Nutty O, Feli Nandi, Baba Harare, In Total Band, Seh Calaz, Enzo Ishall, and Blot.

The lineup continues with Delroy Shewe, Nyasha David, Holy Ten, Da Ruler, Gipsy Warrior, Xiba, Queen Kadjia, Sane Wav, and Black Warrior.

Adding to the festival atmosphere, a special “Don Family” collective will also perform, featuring MC Gudo, Godfather Templeman, Merciless, Butterfly, and socialite Tariro Gezi.

The inclusion of Jnr Spragga comes at an interesting time for the Zim dancehall scene.

After reportedly missing recent major events, including the Jacaranda Music Festival and the Castle Lager Braai Day due to illness, his appearance on the HKD Festival lineup marks a highly anticipated return to the big stage.

It also follows news of his upcoming joint EP with fellow Chitungwiza artist Hulengende, who is also on the bill.

A growing legacy

Now in its third edition, the HKD Festival has quickly grown into one of the country’s premier lifestyle events, drawing crowds from across the country.

By bringing a lineup of this scale to Glamis Arena, Freeman continues to cement his legacy not just as a top-tier artist, but as a major player in Zimbabwe’s live entertainment industry.

The stage is set. The bands are ready. Harare, it’s time to show up.
