Following a resounding success in Limpopo province, South Africa, over the weekend, Spirit of Praise 12 is shifting its focus to Bulawayo Everton Mlalazi’s hometown.

The star-studded gospel ensemble will take to the stage at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) grounds on November 22, bringing its renowned live experience back to a city that has already proven its appetite for large-scale worship productions.

A season of momentum for Mlalazi

For Zimbabwe’s own Worship Minister, Everton Mlalazi, the Bulawayo tour caps what has become the busiest season of his career.

The award-winning gospel singer — fresh off winning the Africa Global Music Impact Award at the 2026 CLIMA Africa Awards — will take the lead as Spirit of Praise 12 gathers steam for the Zimbabwean leg of its tour.

The show follows the ensemble’s well-received performance in Bulawayo last year, which drew gospel enthusiasts from across the region and reinforced the city’s reputation as a hub for major live gospel events.

The line-up

The Bulawayo leg features a powerhouse line-up of South African gospel heavyweights, including Xola Toto, Nothando Hlophe, Mpumi Mtsweni, Sindi Ntombela, Ziyanda Tshangana, Takie Ndou, Omega Khunou, Dumi Mkokstad, Everton Mlalazi and Pastor Mthunzi Namba.

Organisers are expected to unveil the local artists who will join the impressive line-up in the coming days — a detail that will be closely watched by Zimbabwean gospel fans eager to see which homegrown talents will share the stage with the continental stars.

Why Spirit of Praise matters

Spirit of Praise has established itself as a major force in African gospel music, bringing together celebrated vocalists for powerful ensemble performances that blend worship, live instrumentation and energetic stage delivery.

Its return adds another major attraction to Bulawayo’s entertainment calendar, with the November 22 show expected to offer fans the rare opportunity to experience some of the continent’s most celebrated gospel voices under one roof.

The excitement builds

Excitement is already gathering momentum, with fans taking to social media to express their eagerness to attend the November show.

For Mlalazi, the Bulawayo tour is another milestone in a year that has seen him secure major continental recognition, collaborate with international gospel acts, and continue to build a profile that extends well beyond Zimbabwe’s borders.

For Bulawayo, it is a reminder that the city’s appetite for large-scale gospel productions remains as strong as ever.
