Gospel music lovers are in for a treat on 3 September 2022 at the Harare Gardens for what’s been dubbed Dare Guru, a family show.
The afternoon concert starts at 10am until 6pm with several artists performing.
Some of the artists lined up are Mambo Dhuterere, Mechanic Manyereuke, Fungisai Zvakavapano-Mashavave, Mai Patai, Mathias Mhere and Zolasko from Botswana.
Organised by Dollar Bill Entertainment in collaboration with Chipaz Promotions, the show comes when most of the artists are doing well on the local gospel music scene.
Mathias Mhere recently dropped his 2022 album simply titled Thanksgiving.
The 13-track album features tracks such as Mukundi featuring Munyaradzi Munodawafa, Nyasha Ndione, Shanda Mudzimai, Acharwa Ndinyerere, Sungano NaMwari.
Mhere is a darling on the gospel scene with his easy to follow sing along tunes. He also collaborated with Mambo Dhuterere on WeHumambo Nditarire.
Mambo Dhuterere is still climbing high with his collaboration with Zolasko on a track called Hamen Hlebanna.
It would be great to see the two musicians perform the song in Harare.
That said, Mambo Dhuterere is a favourite of many with his apostolic numbers from Ndisesekedze, Ndinzwe Mambo, Zvinonyadzisa, Ndabvunza Emmanuel and Dare Guru.
Fungisai has plenty of songs to enjoy.
She takes you from her formative stage when she signed to Ngavongwe Records right through to Oskid productions when she collaborated with Killer T.
Vanondibatirana became the first crossover song which combined gospel and Zim dancehall. For Fungisai the combination perfectly well.
She has been consistently churning out hits.
Last but not least, veteran Mechanic Manyeruke will be present to add colour to what may already have been a star-studded gig.
Manyeruke is known for his soothing music from Josefa Wavemambo, Wakaramba Kuudzwa, Madhimoni, Ndofara and Makorokoto.
In fact the list is endless and the one good thing is that he is still performing on stage.
