When Apostle Moreblessing Bishi (37) first heard the prophetic word in 2017 that she would one day be sent to the United Kingdom to build a large ministry, she believed it with all her heart.
What she didn’t anticipate, however, was the complex and sometimes lonely path that prophecy would require her to walk.

Today, settled in the quiet town of Taunton, Somerset, Apostle Bishi leads Christ Jesus International Ministries, a growing ministry that’s beginning to make waves in both spiritual and community circles. But her journey from Zimbabwe to the UK was anything but easy.
A Leap of Faith
Driven by divine instruction, she spiritually prepared for her mission through prayer and deep study of the Word. Practically, the process was rigorous — from English proficiency and tuberculosis tests to researching British culture and religious life.
“I had great expectations,” she recalls. “I knew I was coming to the land of my destiny. But reality hit differently. I expected to make friends quickly and settle in, but I faced setbacks and disappointments I hadn’t foreseen.”
Bridging Cultures with Grace
Cultural differences — especially in communication and social norms — made integration initially difficult. Yet Apostle Bishi navigated the unfamiliar terrain with openness and authenticity.
“There were moments of misunderstanding before people knew me. I had to explain who I was and why I had come,” she said.
Over time, she earned the trust of locals, including British people who had previously lived in Zimbabwe and understood her roots.
A New Kind of Ministry
Adapting to the spiritual climate in the UK presented another unique challenge. “The congregation here is different. Many are unfamiliar with the Spirit of God,” she explains. As a result, she shifted her ministry focus — offering more pastoral care and using fewer of her spiritual gifts, at least initially.
Because many people work Sundays, traditional in-person church services proved difficult to sustain. Apostle Bishi moved her ministry online, preaching regularly on TikTok under the username Apostle Moreblessing. This adaptation has allowed her to reach a wider and more diverse audience than she ever imagined.
Making an Impact
Despite the hurdles, Apostle Bishi sees this chapter of her life as one of the most fruitful. “I’ve been used by God here more than when I was back home,” she says with gratitude.
Through Christ Jesus International Ministries, she has provided counselling, supported community projects, and offered help to the less privileged.
A memorable moment early in her UK journey came when she met another man of God who confirmed her calling to Britain. It was yet another sign that her steps were being ordered.
Staying Grounded
Throughout all this, Apostle Bishi remains deeply authentic. “I don’t try to be like British Christian leaders,” she says. “I strive to be the woman God destined me to be.”
She’s also become a student of leadership, learning to embrace new work ethics, cultural norms, and perspectives. Her vision is to see her ministry grow with branches across the UK, continuing to serve and embrace people from all walks of life.
To fellow African leaders called to serve in Western nations, her advice is clear: “Adapt to the local culture, but stay rooted in who you are.”
A Journey of Faith — On Film
Apostle Moreblessing’s transformation — from fashion model to minister — is now the subject of a planned documentary titled Grace on the Catwalk: The Apostle’s Story. The film, produced by celebrated filmmaker Eddie Ndhlovu, will follow her spiritual journey and how faith dramatically reshaped her life.
However, the project faces financial hurdles. “There has been a delay because no one came through with the funding,” she admits. She’s currently appealing to well-wishers to help raise $10,000 to bring the project to life.
“The goal of this documentary is to inspire others to trust in their calling and believe in transformation through faith,” she says. She is set to play herself in the hour-long film.
Looking Ahead
Balancing ministry and personal sacrifice hasn’t come without cost. “I’ve lost relationships because I’ve had to prioritise God,” she shares candidly. “But I move forward in faith. Jesus is the author and finisher of it.”
In the midst of all challenges, her greatest source of strength remains the same: “The Spirit of God. He’s my helper and partner in ministry.”
