ZINARA Chief Executive Officer Mr. Nkosinathi Ncube has applauded Delta Corporation for its strong compliance record, revealing that the company’s fleet has significantly contributed to Zinara’s push to license one million vehicles by year-end.
Speaking at the Delta Driver of the Year Competition on Friday, Mr Ncube said Delta currently has approximately 940 vehicles registered in Zinara’s system and 854 Zinara tolling cards in active use — figures he described as “highly impactful” in strengthening the national road fund.
“We appreciate this collaboration and do not take it for granted,” said Mr Ncube. “Your compliance has advanced us significantly towards our One-Million-Mark Mission. Thank you for choosing to #BeOneInAMillion.”
Mr Ncube encouraged Delta to take advantage of Zinara’s ongoing payment-plan promotion, which allows companies and individuals with large arrears to regularise their vehicles under flexible terms. He noted that even large corporates often have broken-down or parked vehicles that remain unlicensed.
“We are ready to assist any organisation with vehicles that need to be regularised or exempted. Our teams continue to engage your colleagues to keep this relationship flowing,” he said.
The Zinara chief also urged Delta to enrol its fleet on the new e-tag express tolling system, which now operates at 23 of the country’s 29 tollgates.
“The system enables fast, contactless passage and is designed to increase efficiency for fleets like yours,” he said.
Mr Ncube emphasised that effective vehicle licensing is central to Zinara’s ability to maintain and rehabilitate the country’s road network, making corporate compliance a critical element of national infrastructure development.
He reaffirmed Zinara’s commitment to strengthening partnerships with major fleet owners as part of efforts to modernise tolling systems, improve revenue collection, and enhance national road service delivery.
