Chiedza Muchena is 19 years old and started playing saxophone at the age of 12.
Besides the sax she can also play the marimba and is comfortable with improvisation. She was part of her High School Marimba Tour to Europe in 2014.
Chiedza has performed at festivals and concerts such as the famed Harare International Festival of the Arts and the annually held Brass Section Concert.
Her musical journey continues as she will soon be going to university to further her jazz studie music. With creative, focused and passionate musicians such as Chiedza around, the future of jazz music in Zimbabwe is bright.
