KADOMA — Barca Kadoma FC have dismissed Head Coach David Sengu, Assistant Coach Rhodrick Chinyengetere, and the entire technical team with immediate effect, the club announced in a press release signed by Chief Executive Officer Dennis Makani.
The club said the decision followed a “comprehensive strategic review of the club’s performance and future aspirations.”
Despite the abrupt exit, the club thanked the outgoing technical staff. “The club extends its sincere gratitude for the dedication, professionalism, and service rendered during their tenure,” Makani said.
The decision came despite an unbeaten run of seven matches under Sengu—three wins and four draws. However, the high number of draws appears to have frustrated the club hierarchy, which is demanding more than resilience.
Barca Kadoma finished last season as Mashonaland West Division 2B West Champions but missed promotion to Division 1 after losing a playoff penalty shootout to Chingwere FC.
“The decision was not taken lightly but was necessary to align the team with long-term goals of excellence, competitiveness, and sustainable growth,” Makani added.
The club said further communication regarding the appointment of a new head coach will be made in due course. The incoming coach inherits a solid unbeaten foundation but will face immediate pressure to turn draws into victories.
