Call it a revival or rather a reintroduction of Back2Jazzics, a special monthly edition of jazz performances.
Naturally jazz music is eargasmic and cozy especially in venues that bring that cool ambience, less pressure just pure vibe.
Obviously, a brainchild of jazz afficionado and keyboardist Filbert Marowa, Back2Jassics comes alive this Sunday with the soulful Rute on the microphone.
The diva is not new on the music scene having performed with a number of groups including Tanga wekwaSando, Rute has got it going on for her.
Her fans really love skating especially to golden oldies.
Rute will be performing starting at 3pm at Chez Zandi just a few minutes’ drive along Sam Nujoma Street.
In an interview, Filbert explains why they have brought the concert back: “The concept is called ‘Back2Jazzics Monthly Edition’. Remember we used to do this on a weekly basis but now we will be hosting these shows monthly to ensure quality presentations.”
He explained further on hosting the shows in winter: “Nzvimbo dze entertainment in winter ishoma and so we are taking advantage of that. This winter we’ll be delivering a special monthly Back2Jazzics to you. Let’s warm up to some Jazz this winter.”
