South African Afro-soul powerhouse Ami Faku is heading to Harare for what promises to be an unforgettable night of music and magic at the Unplugged concert on March 28 at First Bank Sports Club.
Known for her velvety vocals and heart-tugging lyrics, Ami Faku will headline the much-anticipated show, bringing her signature blend of Afro-soul, Afropop and amapiano to an eager Zimbabwean audience.
If her past performances are anything to go by, fans can expect a deeply emotional, goosebump-inducing experience.
Backing her up is a star-studded local lineup featuring crowd favourites Nutty O, Voltz JT, Kae Chaps, Atenda Chinx and Mugaratia, plus a surprise guest artist who is still under wraps.
The night’s energy will be kept sky-high by DJs MadHerBelieve, Shaku Chante and Reverb 7, with MCs Tatts and Fujee steering the vibe.
Born Amanda Faku in Port Elizabeth in 1993, Ami’s journey to stardom began in church choirs before she started penning her own songs as a teenager.
Her breakthrough came in 2017 when she appeared on The Voice South Africa, capturing hearts across the nation.
That exposure led to a deal with independent label Vth Season — and the rest, as they say, is history.
Her 2019 debut album, Imalihttp://Imali, cemented her place as one of Africa’s most compelling voices. With raw, relatable storytelling, the project dives into love, social realities and the universal quest for happiness.
Rooted in her cultural heritage yet refreshingly modern, Ami’s sound effortlessly bridges tradition and contemporary African rhythms.
