Airlink on Tuesday launched scheduled direct services between Durban and Harare.
The move by teh airline is an indication of massive recovery in Zimbabwe’s aviation and tourism industry.
The direct flights on the route will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
This brand new route linking the two cities will be the airline’s third direct service to Harare, along with Airlink‘s flights from Johannesburg and Cape Town.
The new flight is expected to propel promote trade and tourism between KwaZulu-Natal and Zimbabwe.
On this month, the Lufthansa operated luxury airline Eurowings Discover fA330 airbus or the first time landed at the Victoria Falls International Airport from Europe.
The direct route from Europe to the majestic Victoria Falls comes at a time when destination Zimbabwe is gearing for tourism recovery since the world went into lockdown as a result of Covid-19 pandemic now reached endemic levels.
