Abhishek Prem Mehra played by Shabir Ahluwalia

Abhishek Mehra is easy on the eye and fondly called a rockstar with an open-minded outlook on life.   His on-screen arrogance and inability to see people’s true colours makes him a target for easy manipulations.  He is highly emotional and impulsive.

In real life: Shabir Ahluwalia’s father is Sikh and mother is Christian. Shabir Ahluwalia has his own production house called “Flying Turtle”. The 40-year-old actor also hosts popular shows such as Nach Baliye, Guinness World Records – Ab India Todega, and Dancing Queen.

Pragya Abhishek Mehra played by Sriti Jha

She is Bulbul’s sister and Abhi’s wife.  She is loyal, naïve and caring so much so that she is manipulated by Tanu and Aliyah.  She however undergoes a transformation into a strong and ambitious woman to protect Abhi from some of his vicious family members who want to ruin his life.

In Real Life:  Sriti is an avid reader, a vegetarian and dancer.  She is one of the highest-paid in the TV industry. She loves to travel and often going solo to other countries.  She was a brand ambassador for companies such as Accessorize India, Belleza, Kalki etc.

Asad Ahmed Khan played by Karan Singh Grover

Asad is well mannered, thoughtful and a gentleman. He is known to be an introvert and is sensitive towards people’s needs A true workaholic, he is very traditional in his approach as well as being fiercely protective of his mother and sister in I Do.

In real life: Karan spent most of his school life in Saudi Arabia. Studying hotel management, he worked at the Sheraton Hotel as a Marketing Executive before becoming an actor. Karan is a basketball and volleyball fan. During his college days, he was a part of a musical band named Thousand Decibels.

Zoya Farooqui (After marriage known as: Zoya Ahmed Khan) played by Surbhi Jyoti

Beautiful and intelligent, Zoya has had an upper middle-class upbringing and gets along with everyone. Though she comes across as a friendly person on the surface, she suffers from abandonment issues. She still carries the angst that her father had abandoned her as a child and was brought up by her adoptive cousin and brother-in-law.

In Real Life: Surbhi started her career as a radio jockey. Before entering the world of acting, Surbhi did theatre for approximately three years to brush up on her acting skills and performances.  She is a dog lover, hates pizza and Mumbai traffic. Her mother fondly calls her “Fruity”.
