Zim dancehall star Silent killer was arrested Thursday by Mbare police in Harare.
The Mulundukwa singer is allegedly facing assault charges following a brawl with Tinashe Kamudyariwa, who is young brother to DJ Fantan of ChillSpot Records.
Contacted for comment, DJ Fantan was not reachable on his mobile phone.
Reports say Silent Killer (real name Jimmy Mudereri) and Kamudyariwa were involved in a scuffle which left Kamudyariwa with serious injuries.
He was taken to Harare hospital where he is getting treatment.
Police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident.
Pictures of Silent Killer cuffed together with other suspects have been circulating on social media as they were taken by the police.
Once an underground artist, Silent Killer set the stage for underground Zim dancehall to gain recognition on its own having released the banger Ndini Ndakalocker MaStreets.
