Alick Macheso, the legendary Orchestra Mberikwazvo frontman, has been turning heads with his recent live performances—not just because of his electrifying stage presence, but also due to a noticeable splint on his wrist.

Fans have been buzzing, wondering what happened to the “King of Sungura.”

Well, the mystery is finally solved! According to his band manager, Tich Makahamadze, Macheso injured his wrist while working on his farm.

Yes, the multi-talented musician isn’t just known for his iconic music; he’s also a passionate farmer.

“He sprained his wrist while working at his farm,” Makahamadze shared. “But don’t worry, he’s recovering well and is still performing across the country, bringing his music to the fans!”

Despite the injury, Macheso’s upbeat spirit remains unchanged. In a recent video posted on his official Facebook page, he was all smiles, even with the splint on his right hand.

The musician took a moment to thank his loyal followers for helping him reach the impressive milestone of 1 million subscribers on YouTube.

“I am forever grateful to my fans,” he said, humbly acknowledging the love and support that continues to pour in.

Known for affectionately referring to his fans as “paymasters” and calling his band Orchestra Mberikwazvo “the people’s band,” Macheso’s heartfelt gratitude was evident.
