Diamond Musica who have just released their latest single Motema are back at the home of rhumba music — Fortress 88 nestled at New Ambassador Hotel.
The group is back by public demand and it comes with a new release Motema featuring Jah Signal, a talented vocalist.
Motema featured John Kisoya on lead guitar. Kisoya was the one who played lead guitar on Patati Patata for Roki featuring Koffi Olomide Mopao.
Motema is a beautiful song with catchy beat and sing-along lyrics.
Jah Signal sings in Shona while Pitshou Lumiere of Diamond Musica switched Lingala and a bit of French in the song to give it that wholesomeness.
On the whole, Motema is a danceable party song and it would be surprising if it surprasss Sina Makosa, the track which put Diamond Musica on the map.
Asked about the upcoming show at Fortress 88, Pitshou said: “This Saturday 02 December 2023 at Fortress 88 KWAME Ambassador Hotel. It has been a while since we performed at the venue but due to public demand we decided to go back and rock the house. Rhumba fans should come in numbers and enjoy as we ignite the festive season mood.”
He added: “The New single MOTEMA is out now please listen to it and give us your feedback.
“We are prepared to entertain our fans this festive season this is why we just released a new single song. We shall be going on a tour which we called Rhumba Forever Tour. We will go across the country taking music to the people.”
