Zimbabwean tourism stakeholders tour the opulent Malilangwe

Sitting on 130 000 acres of pristine wilderness where it’s nice and quiet with beautiful African sun weather, Malilangwe is the perfect getaway and holiday resort for leisure even for boys club outing!

Bordering Gonarezhou National Park, Malilangwe is certainly a must visit place for any discerning traveler whether as a group or just couples its scenic views will leave you wanting more. That is opulence at its best!

And recently, some of Zimbabwe’s big four stakeholders took a trip down to Malilangwe to sample high-end safari and luxurious hospitality known across the globe in Europe, Asia and the US.

The big four comprising Director General of ZimParks Dr Fulton Mangwanya, Environment, Climate Change, Tourism and Hospitality Industry Minister Mangaliso Ndlovu,  Zimbabwe Tourism Authority Acting Chief Exeutive, Mr Givemore Chidzidzi and Director Tourism in the Ministry Dr Douglas Runyowa recently went on a tour of Malilangwe.

The visit was part of the ZimBho campaign which focuses on domestic tourism

Malilangwe plays host to Pamushana Lodge, which is under a company called Singita, an international brand in hospitality known all over the world for its luxurious high end lodges and hospitality overseas.

There the stakeholders were treated to game drives and bush walks among other activities at Pamushana Lodge.

The lodge has played host to some of the world’s richest people including billionaire Bill Gates, musician Shakira as well as Jack Ma, a Chinese business magnate ,  investor and philanthropist. He is the co-founder and former executive chairman of Alibaba Group, a multinational technology conglomerate. Ma is a strong proponent of an open and market-driven economy.

ZimBho campaign focuses on leisure tourism as well as creating demand of existing tourism products and services.

The campaign through is designed to focus mainly on the domestic market whose contribution to the economic growth and development is yet to be fully realized.

The campaign Brand, ZIMBHO, Hashtag vakatsha, Hashtag IZimYami is premised on the word Bho, which means good, well or fine.

In the tourism context, it means Zimbabwe is beautiful and richly endowed Thus ZIM IS BHO.
