Upcoming R&B singer Nyasha David says he has God given talent and does not need media attention.
In a shocking outburst, Nyasha David ranted at a Gem Nation News journalist after he reneged on responding to questions sent to him.
“And for the record, I don’t want your attention, you came to me. Your experience is yours not mine. What we have is God given and you can’t do anything about that,” he said.
After realizing that he was being naive, Nyasha David made a U-turn and apologized saying a lot was happening at the time.
“You can kindly move on from that interview. I am sorry I didn’t disclose what was happening at the time when I couldn’t answer your questions,” he said.
Nyasha David seem to be under the impression that he has made it although those who have been in the industry know otherwise.
With two albums to his credit — Songs Of David and Advocate of Love — the youngster seems excited and zealous after he won the Zimbabwe Music Awards gong for Best R&B and Soul.
There are many talented upcoming artists who unlike Nyasha David have remained levelheaded despite topping the charts.
So far his album Nyasha David spawned at least one chart topper which is Marry Anne/Mariana.
There is not much to write home but already his echoes are getting louder.
To show that Nyasha David has a long way to go, while he thinks he is good to go, a lot of artists yearn for media coverage.
And the irony is despite his claim that he does not need media attention he was busy posting links to try and get people to follow his performance at the NAMAs 2022.
In Zimbabwe, few artists if there are any, who have succeeded on talent alone. Like they say teamwork makes the dream work.
