Zimbabwe’s reggae/dancehall singer Nutty O was today featured on Zambian television station Power TV.

The Lusaka-based music and entertainment television station is fast creating a niche in southern Africa targeting countries like Namibia, Botswana, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Since its launch early this month, the 24 hour music channel is available in the above countries on DStv channel 278 and also on GOTV channel 19.

Going with the tag #MuchimunziNizee, Power TV is a fast paced channel that gives viewers a sneak peak into Zambia’s urban culture through latest and trending music videos.

And Nutty O could be the first Zimbabwean artist to be featured on the vibrant channel that features indigenous languages such as Chewa, Bemba, Nyanja, Tonga and English.

“Zim are you safe? Handipere power hit maker Nutty O will joining us live in the studio with Jay Kale we hope you are ready!!” the channel wrote on their Facebook page.

A fan of Nutty O replied: “Thank you for supporting Zim Music . We need more of these opportunities to Extend our Abilities #ABX AbX .”

Nutty O aka ABX short for Ability Extension has really set his sights on the global stage with one of his dreams so far to win the coveted Grammy to Zimbabwe.

While this is no mean feat, Nutty O would definitely need to spread his music not just in Zimbabwe but in Africa starting with the southern part.

And with the support of channels like Power TV, clearly it appears this could be the best way to get to where he wants to take his music.

That said, Nutty O born Carrington Simbarashe Chiwadzwa has done collaborations with some of Africa’s talented musicians the likes of Mafikizolo, Stonebwoy, Jah Prayzah, Winky D and Demarco to mention a few.

Currently, Nutty O is tearing up the dance floors with his latest single Makanonoka which translates to delay.
