NetOne, City of Harare Lead CBD Clean-Up Drive

NetOne, in partnership with the City of Harare, spearheaded a spirited clean-up campaign in Harare’s Central Business District (CBD), reinforcing the drive for a cleaner, greener, and healthier urban environment.

Held on the first Friday of the month, in alignment with the national clean-up program, the initiative saw NetOne staff, city officials, informal traders, and residents unite to sweep streets, clear litter, and rejuvenate public spaces.

This campaign forms part of NetOne’s Corporate Social Responsibility efforts under its Environmental Sustainability pillar, emphasizing that small acts of care can create lasting community transformation.

The atmosphere in the CBD was filled with energy and unity as participants worked side by side to restore the city’s dignity.

More than just a cleaning exercise, the event became a symbol of civic pride and collective responsibility.

Officials reminded citizens that this initiative is not a one-time effort but a continuous movement, urging everyone to take pride in their surroundings every first Friday of the month.

Many passersby were inspired to join in, showcasing the power of collaboration between businesses, authorities, and the public.

Through this initiative, NetOne and the City of Harare are reigniting civic pride and proving that a cleaner CBD is possible—together.
