Rapper Maskiri and beau BlackArose are expecting a bundle of joy!
The couple has been together for sometime now and share chemistry on and off the cameras.
The love birds announced the good news via their latest collaborative love gem simply titled Shamwari Yangu.
The beautiful video dropped August 1, 2021 and it is a must watch.
BlackArose lays her syrup-like vocals over a nice soulful beat but could not hide her baby bump in the video.
She looks happy and also all lovey-dovey in the video while Maskiri is laidback but throwing heavy punchlines.
Set in the rural area the video connects the two love birds in a way that is palpable and compelling.
It is easy to see why the two have so much love for each as the chemistry is all over the visuals.
BlackArose is perhaps one of the talented musicians to look out for this year.
She has that sweet voice and when she sings music lovers should listen.
The video comes hot on the heels of Maskiri‘s latest hit song Mbinga from Binga. The controversial track was recently banned on Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation radio station Power FM.
The track reached totemic levels for its controversial lyrics wherein Maskiri refers to Tapiwa Makore, a young boy from Mutoko who was beheaded at the behest of his uncle last year for ritual purposes.
The Seven-year-old boy was killed in horrific premeditated murder for ritual purposes in a case that shocked the country. The uncle who hired the cold-blood killers is also called Tapiwa Makore, a brother of the deceased boy’s father.
In the track, Maskiri sings in Shona: “ . . . handina musoro sa Tapiwa Makore! (I’m headless like Tapiwa Makore!)”
In an old Shona adage, being “headless” means somebody brainless.
In his defence, Maskiri said he was referring to murderous uncle in his song.
