Zee Entertainment’s popular channel Zee World had its viewers glued to their seats and screens with a dance show — Zee World’s Kellogg’s Dance Africa Dance — which saw the crowning of a brand-new star on Saturday night at 7pm.
The grand finale of season one’s Top 4 finalists are Tanzania (Creed Vipers), Zimbabwe (Extreme Dreamers), Botswana (Plus 267) and South Africa (Survivors) gave a spectacular performance with Tanzania rising to the occasion.
Prizes included R60 000 prize in cash and each member of the team receiving a 55-inch television sets from Scanfrost Appliances.
Kellogg’s Dance Africa Dance, Zee World’s first reality dance competition in Africa premiered 18 September 2021 and quickly became a strong favourite with its viewers.
The show’s aim was to uncover the continent’s best dance team with Tanzania (Creed Vipers) walking away with the winning title!
Dance Africa Dance showcased a fusion of Afro-Bolly dance moves uniting both cultures through vibrancy, colour and diversity.
The 10 teams represented different countries in Africa and soon found a new fan base. Each week, teams were presented with different themes which they had to perform to with the help of choreographers Sashin Kandhai and Courtnae Paul.
Elimination stages saw the departure of Nigeria (Wahala Boys), DRC (Paratata Child), Ethiopia (Psychedelic Fusion) and Ghana (African Child).
