JamAfro Festival: Tickets at Feli Nandi’s shop

Staff Writer

Organisers of JamAfro Festival scheduled for Alexandra Sports Club on April 2 have increased tickets outlets to include Feli Nandi’s Shop located at no 57 Nelson Mandela Old Shell House.

Admission to the show is US$15 for general ticket, US$30 for VIP and US$50 for VVIP tickets.

United Kingdom show promoter Mhofu “Negos” Negombwe who is already in the country promised a great show come April 2.

He said they would not compromise on sound and stage that match international standards.

“We have actually brought some of the latest equipment for the gig and also Dwayne who is Neelah’s manager is already here in Harare to ensure that the sound is on point,” he said.

He also encouraged fans to book their tickets in advance to avoid last minute rush at the gates.

“The unfortunate part is we as promoters have to introduce these international standards one at a time because the world over tickets are booked in advance. And the other thing we don’t have concert venues in the country, this is why we had to opt for the Alex Sports Club, which is an open air venue,” Negos said.

On the bill are South African singer Makhadzi who is back by public demand.

Makhadzi is known for high energy performances on stage and is expected to share the stage with a host of other Zimbabwean heavy hitters among them South Africa-based Zimbabwean star Mr Brown, Freeman, Nutty O, Suluman Chimbetu, Neelah, ExQ, Feli Nandi and Juntal.

Also expected are several collaborations between Makhadzi, Nutty O and Mr Brown and also another one Freeman and Neelah from Jamaica.

All the new songs will be sampled at JamAfro festival.

The must-attend festival will be hosted by Etherton Beenie, comedienne Mai TT and Bango.

Added to this will be DJS on decks the likes of Pee Stylez, Eve, Tearz, Jerry Springer, Digital T, Westwood as well as Selekta Base.

For those who want to enjoy themselves will have to book VIP tickets which come with a bottle of Moet at least according to information doing the rounds on social media.
