Gospel music lovers seem to have been neglected ever since Government lifted some Covid-19 restrictive measures.
This follows one irate fan who took to social media calling out Chipaz Promotions to at least organise a concert for gospel music lovers.
In the video clip doing the rounds on several social, the female fans sad: “Hey guys I’m not gonna take too much of your time okay I have a request. I hope you will assist me to get this message across. Thank you Chipaz Promotions for promotions different genres.
“This is a request, I recently a flyer where you’re promoting Zim dancehall, hip-hop, sungura and amapiano. Please we beg Chipaz Promotions organise a gospel show, don’t you promote gospel music? I haven’t seen a flyer on gospel show. I am a gospel fan and please when you organise a gospel show let us know.”
Contacted for comment, Partson Chimbodza of Chipaz Promotions apologized for the inconvenience saying her wish was their command.
“We apologise first, to gospel fans and we accept constructive criticism and surely as Macheso sang Zvido Zvenyu Kunyanya. We have not had time to put together a gospel event. We had overlooked it and we will cater for them,” Chimbodza said.
It appears the fan was justified after all.
Chipaz Promotions have line up a series of mega concerts in early September to coincide with the Harare Agricultural Show.
There is the popular Harare Show Cup Clash gig at the City Sports Centre, the home of all clash concerts.
The show which starts at 12noon will end until wee hours with performances by popular Zim dancehall artists the likes of Seh Calaz, Dhadza D, Hwindi President, Enzo Ishall, Jah Master, Hwinza, Silent Killer, Gina Marina, Bazooker, Pumacol and Uncle Epaton among others.
Then there is Sungura Fest 2022 at Paumzinda Highway X-Scape on September 3 again.
On the line up are the top artists including Aick Macheso, Leonard Zhakata, Petter Moyo, Somandla Ndebele and man of the moment Mark Ngwazi.
To cap it all, there is Hip-hip and Amapiano Face Off at the Longchen Plaza on the same day starting at 12 noon.
The gig features South African DJs Cold Max of Destruction Boyz, Mobi Dixon, Cndo and others.
The hip-hop artists include Holy Ten, Voltz, Stunner, T Gonzi, Saintfloew, and Shawty among others.
