Zim dancehall singer Seh Calaz on Thursday took delivery of his new Mercedes Benz GLE350d worth US$85000 donated by millionaire Sir Wicknell but not many were happy for him.
Some followers including his ex-wife Moira Knight threw shade at the Mabhanditi leader saying instead of begging for the Mercedes Benz he should have worked for it.
Other followers described Seh Calaz as a ‘lover of things’ and unprincipled chap who was prepared to do anything for proverbial 30 pieces of silver.
Seh Calaz felt left out after Sir Wicknell went on a spending spree gifting musicians aligned to the ruling Zanu PF with top-of the range cars.
A bunch of musicians have benefitted from Sir Wicknell’s good gesture including Jah Prayzah, Suluman Chimbetu, Sandra Ndebele, BaTroy and DJ Fantan.
After seeing that Sir Wicknell had skipped him from the party Seh Calaz took to his Facebook and wrote a disclaimer.
He said he was born a Zanu PF member and apologised for seemingly attacking the ruling party to which Sir Wicknell is proudly a member.
But luckily for Seh Calaz, Sir Wicknell accepted his apology and rescinded on his earlier decision not to give him a car.
“Congratulations to you Seh Calaz (Mr Tawanda Mumanyi) . . . Your explanation was well received and your apology has been accepted. Go to Exquisite Dealership and see Victor, your GLE350d 4matic is waiting for you. After careful consideration, as an aspiring and future billionaire can’t stoop so low and publicly embarrass a young, hardworking and talented musician like you. My point was just usanyare nezvauri, be consistent and don’t flip-flop Zanu PF is the future . . .” Sir Wicknell announced on his official Facebook page.
However, Seh Calaz seemed unperturbed asking his critics to “deal with it” quoting one of his songs Asvotwa Ngaarutse.
Apparently his ex-wife Moira Knight wasn’t pleased after she commented: “Haunzwe kunyara here but”
Another follower replied: “Let’s work for ourselves guys . . . chiuyai muone zvarava.”
A third fan said: “Ex-husband inonydzisa.”
A fourth fans commented: “ Moira uri kudaro dad vemwana wko une sure .”
A fifth said: “Im busy deleting all his songs
A sixth said: Haaa sistren uyu ANOPENGA uyu aaah mrume mkuru kuchemera mota kunyora composition kutsanangura kty apihwe mota. Haaa anonyadzisa big time.”
