CHINHOYI — Award-winning Zimbabwean gospel singer Everton Mlalazi is set to lead a powerful day of worship in Chinhoyi as part of his GREAT GOD TOUR, while also preparing to take his ministry to the international stage in South Africa.
The GREAT GOD TOUR comes to Chinhoyi University of Technology’s Great Hall on 12 September 2026, promising a day of worship, praise, and an unforgettable encounter with God through music.
The programme kicks off with a Sabbath Service at 8:00am, followed by the main concert at 4:00pm.
“Come expecting a move of God!” organisers declared in a statement, urging Chinhoyi residents to prepare for what promises to be a spirit-filled day.
The announcement has generated excitement among gospel music fans, with many taking to social media to express their anticipation. The hashtag #GreatGodTour has been trending as believers across the country prepare to converge on the university campus.
Minister Everton Mlalazi, whose chart-topping album Celestial Chorus Volume 3 has dominated gospel charts, is known for his powerful worship anthems including the heart-rending Hakuna Usiku.
The tour is expected to draw worshippers from across the province and beyond, as Mlalazi continues to build on his reputation as one of Zimbabwe’s most beloved gospel artists.
But before the Great God Tour reaches its climax, Mlalazi has been announced as one of the featured performers at this year’s Replenishment Concert, set for 31 October 2026 at Sandown High School in Sandton, Johannesburg, South Africa.
The Zimbabwean gospel sensation joins a star-studded line-up that reads like a who’s who of African gospel music.
Sharing the stage with Mlalazi will be Joyous Celebration, Dr Tumi, Kabela Mabalane, Khaya Mthethwa, Xolly Mncwango, Sbu Noah, Mmatema, Jumbo, and The Jesus Collective, among others.
A Growing Global Footprint
The invitation to perform at such a prestigious event underscores Mlalazi’s growing influence beyond Zimbabwe’s borders and his standing within the broader African gospel music community.
The Replenishment Concert, which has become a highlight of South Africa’s gospel calendar, attracts thousands of worshippers and features performances from the continent’s finest gospel artists.
For Mlalazi, the performance represents another milestone in a career marked by critical and commercial success. His songs have resonated with audiences across the region, with his latest album continuing to receive airplay and acclaim.
As the countdown to the Great God Tour begins, organisers have a simple message for the people of Chinhoyi: come expecting a move of God.
The concert promises to be a day of powerful worship, as Minister Mlalazi leads believers in songs that have become anthems of hope and praise for many Zimbabweans.
