DStv viewers will get added value from the DStv Stream service following an update exercise aimed at greater ease of use.
MultiChoice Zimbabwe’s head of corporate affairs and public relations, Charity Njanji, said the tweaks made would make it easier to navigate and to explore the expanding array of content. “the changes have been made to allow viewers to explore new content through trailers, previews and personalised suggestions with curated content recommendations,” she said.
“These updates allow DStv Stream to provide seamless streaming, user-friendly navigation and innovative technology. With the new look and enhanced functionality,
DStv Stream better showcases the wealth and diversity of its content library.”
As part of this new update, DStv Stream has also introduced two features designed to give users greater control and flexibility over how they watch: Reverse EPG and Cloud PVR Recordings.
Reverse EPG allows users to scroll back up to 24 hours on selected channels to watch anything they missed. Whether it’s a big sports event or a favourite show, this feature means viewers can go back to pick up where they left off.
This feature is available on popular channels including SuperSport Football, SuperSport Grandstand, SuperSport WWE, SuperSport Action, ESPN, CNN International and BBC World.
The Cloud PVR Recordings feature allows viewers to save live content and enjoy it later at their convenience. Recordings are kept for up to 30 days under MyStuff, giving customers the freedom to watch what they want, when they want.
The new features roll out gradually during November across the DStv Stream apps on iOS and Android devices as well as dstv.stream and other supported platforms.
Customers who have auto-update enabled will receive these updates automatically, while others can manually update the DStv Stream app to access the latest features.
