The Corporate Governance and Accounting Institute in Zimbabwe (CGAIZ) will host its annual Summer School from August 27 to 30 at the Rainbow Hotel in Bulawayo under the theme: “Upskilling Governance and Accountancy Professionals for Enhanced Organisational Resilience.”
The event will bring together professionals from across Zimbabwe for intensive sessions on governance, finance, ESG strategy, artificial intelligence, public financial management, and regulatory compliance.
CGAIZ CEO Dr Lovemore Gomera said the programme reflects the institute’s mission to prepare professionals for a complex and fast-changing business environment.
“We are not just responding to change but preparing leaders to shape it,” said Dr Gomera.
Key speakers include Rhea Kujinga (public financial management), Robert Mubaiwa (capital markets), Tawanda Muzamwese (ESG), and Tinashe Chimombe (AI and ethics).
Dr. Alec Jemwa will discuss navigating volatility in VUCA environments, while a high-level panel featuring Marilyn Nyakudya, Never Ncube, Wadzanayi Phiri and others will explore career resilience.
Additional sessions will cover workplace wellness, cybersecurity, global compliance, retirement planning, and modern board governance.
The Summer School will close with networking, team-building activities, and a formal gala dinner.
CGAIZ’s flagship event continues to position itself as a critical platform for developing resilient, future-ready leaders in governance and accountancy.
