The Zimbabwe Cricket Supporters Union has hailed Delta Beverages’ Castle Lager for sponsoring its trip to India, pledging unwavering support for the national team as they chase glory.
Speaking with excitement, Organising Secretary Marvin Kwaramba said the passionate fan group — popularly known as Castle Kona — is ready to be the driving force behind the players.
Fresh from supporting the team in Sri Lanka, the supporters say their bond with the players is “like fish and water” — natural, inseparable and built on loyalty.
“With Castle Lager coming on board, we are going to India to be the voice behind the boys — the voice that will carry them to the semifinals and finals,” said Kwaramba. “We hope the boys respond when they see us in the stands.”
He thanked Delta and Castle Lager for making the trip possible, describing the sponsorship as a powerful boost not only for the fans but for the team’s morale.
The supporters also pledged to be brand ambassadors for both the country and their sponsors, saying their mission is to unite Zimbabweans and rally the nation behind the Chevrons.
“It all comes together with the Castle,” Kwaramba said.
