Zimbabwe Tourism Authority Chief Executive Ms Winnie Muchanyuka says Air Zimbabwe will be the official carrier for Sanganai/Hlanganani — World Tourism Expo while Airports Company of Zimbabwe is the platinum partner.
Ms Muchanyuka says they were happy with the continued support from industry.
“Special mention goes to Air Zimbabwe and Airports Company of Zimbabwe. Air Zimbabwe has facilitated tickets for buyers and will be the official carrier for Sanganai. Airports Company of Zimbabwe is our platinum partner,” Ms Muchanyuka said.

Speaking after prize presentation for Bulawayo Provincial Tourism Innovation Challenge Tuesday, Ms Muchanyuka said they were exited to bring back Sanganai/Hlanganani — World Tourism Expo.
“The industry both supply and demand side are eagerly waiting to reconnect, hence we are excited to be staging the physical edition of Sanganai/Hlanganani.
Sanganai/Hlanganani is scheduled to be held at Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre, Bulawayo, from 13 – 15 October 2022.
The premium tourism showcase returns for the physical edition after a two-year lapse which was caused by Covid-19.
“Registration for stand bookings still open. As of today (Tuesday), over 150 exhibitors have registered to participate at Sanganai/Hlanganani including participation from the following countries; Rwanda, South Africa, Zambia, Botswana and Malawi.
“We are optimistic that we will reach our target of 250 exhibitors. We call upon industry players in Bulawayo to come in numbers,” Ms Muchanyuka said.
In support of devolution, she said, we would make sure that every province is fully represented as we ensure that all our known and hidden gems get to be profiled during the 2022 edition.
“We also look forward to having an elaborate Community Based Tourism showcase. This is to ensure that all the tourism value chain is present at Sanganai,” she said.
