New ZTA board hits ground running!

Environment, Climate, Tourism and Hospitality Industry Minister Honourable Nqobizitha Mangaliso Ndhlovu Wednesday unveiled the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority Board in Harare amid closed door meeting with captains of industry.

According to sources, the meeting also tackled some of the issues bedeviling the tourism industry especially during post-Covid 19 era.

Of particular interest was the negative image surrounding brand Zimbabwe despite it being one of the must go to destinations in Africa.

In a related matter, Mr Ray Mawerera is the Chairman and will be deputised by Dr Precious Sibiya.

Other Board Members are; Mrs Rita Likukuma who once acted as ZTA chief executive, Mrs Veneranda Munyoro, Ms Beatrice Tonhodzayi, a top journalist by profession, Mr Tare Munzara, Ms Precious Mazhande, Mr Admire Ndlovu and newly appointed ZTA chief executive, Ms Winnie Muchanyuka (Ex-Officio).

Three more members will be announced in due course.
