Dendera prodigy Suluman Chimbetu will this Thursday stage a charity benefit concert for Chedenga Foundation starting at 5pm to 8pm at Theatre in the Park.
The concert is proudly brought to you by Chedenga Foundation and Dollarbill Entertainment who have been organizing sold out concerts at Theatre in the Park.
Supporting acts are Ammi Jamanda, Spider, Jah Lemmy, DJ Squila, Deejay Holy and many more. Important to note is that the event will be happening in a strict observance of all the Covid-19 regulations.
The Orchestra Dendera Kings frontman will serenade music lovers with a maxed bag of old and new songs.
Added to this Suluman or simply Sulu to his fans, is a vocalist, guitarist, composer, stage performer and businessman who has been involved in a lot of charity work since he started out.
He first came to the public’s attention in 2004 when he joined The Orchestra Dendera Kings.
Since then he has had a career marked by successful collaborations with several local artists as well as an international tour schedule.
His breakaway hit, Sean Timba featuring Jah Prayzah brought him to spotlight as much as it to the lanky star.
Sulu was appointed the brand ambassador for the Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services (ZPCS). He was conferred with the rank of Assistant Commissioner by (ZPCS) Commissioner-General (retired) Major-General Paradzai Zimondi at the Harare Central Prison.
Chedenga Foundation started its operations in 2020 helping children underprivileged communities with access to education, support to people with disabilities, provision of food and awareness to children living on the streets among other charity programs.
Ratidzo Eunice Tava who is the founding director for the organization says she appreciates the role played by artists in improving livelihoods.
