Zim hip-hop prodigy — Holy Ten — is billed to serenade fans this Friday at Theatre in the Park starting at 6pm until 9pm.
Presented by Dollarbill Entertainment and Theatre in the Park, the gig is a must attend for those who support Holy Ten and Zim hip-hop movement.
The gig says a lot about how Zim hip-hop has permeated mainstream music scene.
Holy Ten will be performing with no supporting acts, further disproving the notion that Zim hip-hop artists cannot hold their own.
“We are proudly bringing Holy Ten Music to the stage this FRIDAY, 08 OCTOBER 2021 between 6 and 9 PM. It’s big and you can’t afford to miss this one out. Tickets are going for $15 and you can book them in advance.
“We keep on reminding about the global pandemic, COVID-19. Please note that the event will happen in the strict observance of the national COVID-19 regulations. Let’s Mask Up and Practise Social Distancing when we come for the show,” organisers said..
The rapper who blew up in 2016 has long endeared himself with youths the majority of whom relate to his upbringing through music.
Quite honestly, Holy Ten real name Mukudzei Chitsama is heir apparent to the Zim hip-hop throne and he isn’t apologetic about it.
“I have an obligation to speak for what I stand for. I possess that gift that allows me to observe and to be able to report, to translate it into a song. So I give all the credit to God and I blame it on my experiences and I say I blame it because most of them have been negative that’s why we pump so much darkness, we pump so much feeling and emotion into the music because we’ve been attached to so many memories and most of them have been dark,” he once said.
