HARARE — There is a moment in every great concert when the audience forgets they are in a theatre.
When the walls dissolve, the roof disappears, and the space between performer and worshipper becomes holy ground.
At the 7 Arts Theatre on Saturday night, that moment came early — and it never left.
Janet Manyowa, Zimbabwe’s reigning queen of gospel, delivered a three-hour masterclass in worship that was nothing short of fireworks.
But this was no ordinary performance. It was a prelude. A taste. A promise of what is to come when she hosts her flagship concert, A Night of Thanksgiving — ANOT 2027.
And if Worship Moments was any indication, the main event will be nothing less than spectacular.
An Altar, Not a Stage
The setting was perfect. Warm. Cozy. Intimate. The 7 Arts Theatre, with its close-knit seating and superb acoustics, became a sanctuary where every note landed with precision and every lyric pierced the heart.

For three straight hours, she delivered hit after hit, turning the auditorium into an altar where the Name of the Lord was lifted and praises filled every corner.
The playlist sounded like verses plucked straight from the Holy Bible. Each song ministered to the audience in its own way.
There were no ululations, no whistles — just hands raised in unison, a wave of worship sweeping across the auditorium as people surrendered to the moment.
