Sunday Soul Convention moves to Capitalk 100.4 FM

The Sunday Soul Convention, one of the popular shows on Star FM has been moved to sister station Capitalk 100.4FM in what management say is part of ‘syncronization’ of the four stations under the Zimpapers Radio Division

Zimpapers Radio Broadcasting Division runs Nyami Nyami FM, Star FM, Capitalk 100.4FM and Diamond FM based in Mutare.

Explaining the latest development, Comfort ‘Mbofs’ Mbofana, the general manager Zimpapers Radio Broadcasting Division, said the changes were meant to target different demographic audiences.

“You will realize that our listeners who were there when the Star FM launched have grown up and want to listen to the things they used to listen then. But we also have to take care of our new and younger listeners as well.

“Honestly, that becomes a challenge because we need young and vibrant presenters as well who will resonate with the new and younger listeners.

“At Capitalk 100.4FM we are trying to synchronize the station so that it complements Star FM because we have two other stations and we don’t want to run the risk of competing against ourselves. Yes, competition is healthy it is inevitable but within the same stable,” Mbofana said.

In a post at the weekend, Kelvin The Soul Supreme Sifelani, who presents Sunday Soul Convention took to his Facebook page and posted: “Welcome to our new home Capitalk 100.4 FM Harare’s Heartbeat. As much as we miss our old home it’s time to settle in.

“We hope all will pay regular visits here knowing that only you can make it a happy home. Featured here today 2nd of May on the Sunday Soul Convention . . . Stevie Wonder, Zhane, Miles Jaye, The Winans, Rynard Brown ft S.O.S, Melba Moore, Millie Scott, Case & Tanya Stephens . . .
