The Chimbetu music dynasty, globally known for their rich heritage and contribution to Zimbabwe’s music scene, is back with a bang through a second-generation star, Tryson Chimbetu, son of the late Naison Chimbetu, the younger brother of the late Simon Chopper Chimbetu.
The controversial Tryson Chimbetu, now a gentleman popularly known as Sekuru Dhimba, Advocate Chimbetu, Dendera Ancestor, Gombwe reDendera, Dendera Melodist, Dendera anthemist, Dendera Resurrector and more has finally dropped again a thriller song called ‘TUTA‘ on 05 March 2026 at exactly 10:00 on his YouTube channel.
To this publication, Advocate Chimbetu said,
“Today (Thursday), 05 March 2026, I have returned and launched your traditional Dendera music you have been thirsty for, it is in a missile song called “Tuta”, surprisingly to me, it has already become a thriller on my YouTube account.
“I wrote this song in 2013 and finished it now in 2026.
“This is just a drop off my upcoming 8th album water packed with traditionally singalong Dendera peaceful pieces of thriller singalong Dendera international anthems. Mark My Words. Ndonzi Sekuru Dhimba, your traditional Dendera Ancestor.
“Remember Zimbabwe’ s legendary multi-instrumentalist, and sound engineer and producer, Mr Charles Ibheki, just a stone throw from my parents’ home here in Glenview was my producer, myself, and my son-in-law, husband to our sister Saiwe Chimbetu played the guitars.
The Chimbetu clan, known for their rich musical heritage, has been a cornerstone of Zimbabwe’s music scene for decades.
Tryson Chimbetu‘s music dynasty has been making waves with his unique blend of traditional Dendera music and modern styles.
Elder brother Simon Chopper Chimbetu and his younger sibling played everlasting significant roles in shaping the African music landscape from Zimbabwe to the world to date. Tryson added,
“Again, congratulations to us, the Dendera music world, because Zimbabwe’s grandfather of brass section, the saxophonist who played and recorded with Dr Thomas Mapfumo and the Blacks Unlimited band, the late James Chimombe of ‘Jemedza hit’, the late Safiriyo Madzikatire or Mukadota and many more internationalmusic legends, I mean our grandfather, Sekuru Philip Svosve of Jabavu Highway jazz band promised and played the brass you hear on this TUTA thriller.
“Recording with Sekuru Svosve gave me and my music an inevitable dignity in the air and arts business industry now.
“Sekuru Svosve’ s music recording experience has become my music class and humanity as his Sekuru Dhimba student. Ndakadzidza zvakawanda zvandaifunga kuti ndaikanga ndichito zivisisisa nakare ndisinga zive kuti ndanga ndisati ndakuziva practically,” said Tryson
Tryson’s fanatics, one after another, after listening to ‘Tuta’ from his YouTube account, they instantly started endorsing TUTA saying,

Tryson, a Dendera music legend in his own right, is now being managed by another legend in arts, sports, humanitarian, and tourism journalism called Takawira Photoveteran Nyashanu Dapi as his Artistry Director.
Photoveteran, also nicknamed in the music industry in 1993 as Afante by the late Simon Chopper Chimbetu, is now armed with extreme arts, culture, sports and humanitarian Video-Photo journalism and fatherhood wisdom since 1990. Photovet said,
