The countdown is officially on.
American rap heavyweight Rick Ross is set to jet into Zimbabwe this Friday, touching down at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport for what promises to be a blockbuster weekend.
It will mark the MMG boss’s second visit to the country — once again at the invitation of businessman and music promoter Scott Sakupwanya.
The duo first linked up last year for a sold-out spectacle that had fans begging for more. Now, they’re ready to run it back — bigger and louder.
Ross, affectionately known as Ricky Rozay, will headline Sakupwanya’s Birthday Bash on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the Hippodrome, in a night already being billed as historic.
In a high-energy promo video, the “Rich Forever” hitmaker didn’t hold back.
“It’s the biggest boss, Ricky Rozay. Zimbabwe, get ready — February 28, I’m coming to knock it down.
“It’s next level. The big homie Scott, we gonna do it big like that.
The birthday bash is gonna be next level, so get your tickets right now. This is gonna be historic — we making history.”
And if the lineup is anything to go by, history may very well be in the making.
Dubbed Hustle and Heritage, the show will also feature Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Omah Lay, the voice behind the smash hit “So So,” alongside a star-studded cast of Zimbabwean heavyweights including Takura, Shashl, Freeman HKD, Feli Nandi, ExQ, Tamy Moyo and Saintfloew.
But this isn’t just a birthday bash.
The extravaganza will also double as a victory celebration for Scottland FC, who recently lifted the Castle Premier Soccer League trophy — turning the concert into a fusion of music, football, and full-throttle celebration.
With the stakes sky-high, fans are expecting Ross to dig deep into his catalogue and unleash a parade of anthems — from “Aston Martin Music” and “Hustlin’” to “B.M.F,” “Diced Pineapples,” “I’m Not a Star,” and more.
If last year’s performance is anything to go by, the Harare crowd can expect luxury rap, booming ad-libs, and larger-than-life energy.
Star power. Silverware. Swagger.
February 28, 2026, isn’t just another date on the calendar — it’s shaping up to be one of Zimbabwe’s biggest entertainment nights yet.
